Albert

Immigration: Albert Joseph Glaubitz was born December 12, 1867 near Berlin, Germany. He immigrated to the United States in 1890 at the age of 23, according to a 1910 census (1895 according to 1920 census).

Occupation: Cabinet maker at Springfield Furniture Factory.

Marriage: He married Flora C. Linderer in 1896. He was 29; she was 22 years old.
Flora was born March 1874 in Missouri and died May 1945 in Springfield, Greene County, Missouri.
She was buried at East Lawn Cemetery in Springfield, MO. East Lawn has her name as Flora Rosa.

Children:
  • Lawrence Albert Glaubitz born 11/10/1896 in Winona, Missouri (Shannon County).
  • Marie A. Glaubitz born about 1900
  • Unknown name born after Marie, but died before 1910.
Lawrence married Irene S. Jones in a ceremony 4/20/1920 at the age of 27.
They were legally married 4/14/1920 in Greene County, Missouri.
Irene Jones was born about 1901.
They were divorced before 1930.
Lawrence remarried at the age of 44, on November 11, 1940 Lawrence,
Dora E. (Dillard) Cole.
Lawrence and Dora were divorced 1/11/1945.
Dora was the daughter of W.C. and Josephine Dillard, born around 1877 (location unknown at this time).
She died at St. Johns Hospital 7/19/1959 and buried 7/21 in East Lawn. She lies between her former husband, Benjamin F. Cole and her former Mother-in-law, Martha A. Cole. Services were held in Jewell E. Windle Chapel.
She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Lawrence died 1/20/1960 in Springfield, Missouri (Greene County) and buried 2/02 at East Lawn. Having served in World War 1, he had a military funeral service.

Marie A. Glaubitz married William F. Vanzandt January 2, 1943 in the study of The Reverend John. F. Killian, at 1924 North Missouri Street, Springfield, MO. Marie was about 42 years old.
She died 7/22/1956 in Burge Hospital (Cox Medical Center) and was buried 7/26/56 at East Lawn. Services were held in Rainey's Chapel.
She worked as a stenographer in 1930.

Death: Albert died at home on December 12, 1922 in Springfield, Missouri. Burial was the next day at East Lawn. The service was under the direction of Lohmeyer Undertaking Company. The cause of death was listed as "lingering death." Residence for Albert at the time of his death was 1139 East Mill Street, Springfield, MO.
